East Suffolk Council is an exciting place to work and a great place to make a real difference to people’s lives, delivering vital services to a quarter of a million people across East Suffolk.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Procurement Team as a Procurement Business Partner.
Your role
The Procurement Business Partner will work within the Procurement Team to deliver the resources required by the authority for its ambitious programmes of work. East Suffolk Council has committed to invest in local infrastructure, local people and the local economy and procurement has a big part to play in realising this.
The successful candidate will build relationships with stakeholders across the authority to support, direct and deliver procurement activity, in ways that increase efficiency and effectiveness and delivers value for money. Whatever the project, you will be a key part of delivering vital services to those who need them most. This requires some unconventional thinking and problem solving to come up with ways of getting the most out of the funding we have available, deliver social value to the community, improve sustainability, and engage with national and local markets to get the best results and ensure all are given an equitable chance to get involved, all whilst making sure the procurements meet the Public Procurement Regulations as well as our own internal processes.
What you will need
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent or have substantive experience in a relevant field. You will need to demonstrate experience in managing projects, building effective relationships and be successful in change management. As a good team player with efficient communication and organisational skills you will work with key stakeholders across East Suffolk Services and East Suffolk Council to deliver excellent procurement services.
If you think you have what it takes to be successful in this role, even if you don’t meet all of the essential requirements, please apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.
