Research Fellow in Tropical Toxicology

The Opportunity:

To plan and help lead a programme of high quality internationally competitive clinical toxicology research, including management of staff and resources, with the aim of developing a relevant research portfolio and achieving publication of research outcomes in high impact journals around poisoning and envenoming in LMICs.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.  

The salary for this post is £49,250 to £60,321 per annum.

 

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Extensive research experience in clinical research, particular clinical toxicology, supported by relevant qualifications (PhD or equivalent) and significant post-doctoral experience.
  • Experience and demonstrated success in delivering research project results. 
  • Experience and achievement in clinical toxicology research, reflected in a growing personal research portfolio.
  • Have led large scale trials with poisoned patients.
  • Experience in writing and submitting large grants and demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research.
