Research Fellow (Suicide Cultures) to conduct qualitative analysis of already collected data from the Wellcome funded Suicide Cultures: Reimagining Suicide Research Project.
This post is part-time (28 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular (weekly) on-campus working. This is not a remote role.
The post is fixed term and it is available between 1st April 2025 and 31st march 2026.
The salary for this is at Grade UE07 - £40,247.00 to £47,874.00 per annum, but due to budgetary restrictions, appointments can be made up to step 2 within the grade, so between £40,247.00 and £41,421.00 per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Experience of qualitative data analysis (interviews/ethnography).
Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing (including for academic publication).
Understanding of field of suicide studies, especially critical approaches.
A PhD in social science (sociology, anthropology etc.).
A developing record of peer-reviewed publications.
