The Opportunity
The University of Edinburgh’s Institute for Design Informatics is looking to appoint an experienced Research Software Engineer to contribute strategic direction and expertise to the delivery and reporting of the CoSTAR Foresight Lab. This role primarily tackles research related to the New Forms of Data workstream, supporting the production of reports, data dashboards, and novel approaches to data analysis and sharing about creative industries R&D. This role is part time and flexible working can be accommodated.

This role requires methodical storage and backup of data, development of data dashboard prototypes, and strategic planning for software components to ensure sustainability and accessibility.
