Your role and responsibilities  

On a typical day you will be meeting young people face to face and finding out what their barriers are to attending Education Training or Employment. 

You will:

  • maintain accurate records and data and provide reports through our electronic systems
  • link in with your team and with organisations in the community who can support young people reach their potential
  • undertake direct work Year 11 and 12 liaising with schools’ colleges and training providers. Many of the young people you will support may face significant barriers, they may have additional needs
  • carry out bespoke work for young people who may have support from a social worker
  • be developing skills and knowledge of post 16 opportunities for them. you`ll regularly engage with young people from diverse backgrounds across West Suffolk, empowering them to share their experiences and ensuring their voices are heard.

You will need

  • to be team player with enthusiasm knowledge and skills of supporting young people’s holistic needs
  • a willingness to learn and grow is valued, even if you don`t have all the technical expertise yet. Transferable skills from other roles can be key to this role
  • a fresh approach to working with all people regardless of their lived experience and provide an honest, non-judgemental approach.
