Job Responsibilities

• Assess ESA’s delivery of CISO-related services to measure cyber risk 
• Monitor and report on ITH programme status
• Evaluate Group security tools, architecture and technologies
• Support Network and Infrastructure teams with effective security designs
• Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within systems and applications.
• Assist with creation of quarterly Board reporting and monthly KRI compilation
• Contribute to creation of the Information Security Strategy 
• Provide SME opinion on new and updated Group policies standards and procedures 
• Deputise for EUI CISO
• Attend sector forums and intelligence exchanges as EUI representative
• Build and manage relationships with the Group CISO team, other internal stakeholders and maintain an external network.

Work Hours & Benefits 

Working patterns will be the standard Monday to Friday arrangement with flexibility for remote working. Occasional travel to Brussels will be required.

 

Team Leader Qualifications / Skills

• Communication: good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively interact with team members, senior management, and external partners.
• Team Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with the ability to promote teamwork and cooperation .
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a highly-regulated environment.
• Proven professional experience in IT/cybersecurity (10+ years preferred but not essential).
• Good knowledge of the cyber security industry, products, and service trends.
• Extensive knowledge of current cyber security threat types and mitigation controls.
• Knowledge of standards such as CIS18, NIST, MITRE, OWASP.
• Strong technical background in areas like Microsoft, Unix, Oracle, SAP, Cloud, Digital, Networks.
• Understanding of security architecture principles.
• Capability of discussing technical security issues in a non-technical manner.
• Understanding of the business relevance of security risks.
