Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for NJMS- Vice Chair, Administration. This position is under direction of the Administrator of the Department of Orthopedics, the Program Clinical Coordinator plans, organizes, coordinates the day-to-day functions of the department’s faculty affaires.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Under direction, is responsible for supporting the department faculty by coordinating and ensuring personnel matters such as reappointments, evaluations and promotions are handled.
  • Serves as a liaison between faculty, department, University Hospital and Rutgers University Faculty Affaires office. Responsible for timely follow-up of problems and questions and maintains a log and documentation of same.
  • Oversees the processing of paperwork for new faculty with regard to obtaining hospital privileges and obtaining appointment at the medical school and, maintaining up-to-date credentials.
  • Supports the Office of the Chair during interview of candidates. Onboards new staff with operational areas such as OIT, locksmith, access cards, and equipment for work role.
  • Maintains current information on faculty professional activities. Including but is not limited to the maintenance of current curriculum vitaes for each faculty member and complete records of all professional publications
  • Provides overall administrative support to the Office of the Chair by providing calendar, travel and conference arrangements. Ensures that all issues are resolved in an appropriate and successful manner.
  • Coordinates and supervises clerical functions of that office staff.
  • Investigates administrative problems, initiates solutions or recommends changes to the Department Director or Chair
