This position provides global operational support, both request fulfillment and incident management, for services hosted in the edge, private and public cloud at Emerson. An engineer is responsible for installation/configuration, operation and support of Windows systems hardware and software related infrastructure.
Tasks will be focused on maintaining high availability, performance, and security of Windows based server systems that are provided by our Hosting Services. The Engineer may also work with a lead engineer when migrating, onboarding new clients, or acting as a point of escalation for clients using Windows environments as well as participating in strategic projects and initiatives. As part of the position, the engineer will record information relayed from the customer and the fix steps performed along with their corresponding results accurately in the case management system (ServiceNow). They will proactively identify and take steps to resolve or eliminate recurring incident types and participate in process improvement and knowledge documentation activity to positively impact customer satisfaction and increase operating effectiveness and efficiency. This role will focus on Windows engineering covering Microsoft Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Private Cloud.
