The J.P. Morgan Investment Banking Case Competition (“JPMIBCC”) puts you right in the middle of the action. JPMIBCC offers students a fun, interactive and professional learning experience whilst getting a unique first-hand experience of the firm’s culture. Through a hypothetical case study, you`ll find out what it takes to work as an Analyst in Investment Banking.
Competing in a team of 2-4, participants will provide a well-considered recommendation to a panel of judges. Top presentations will present in a Semi Final and Finals Round to J.P Morgan bankers, with Q&A sessions to follow presentations. Finalists will receive feedback prior to the presentation.
The competition is only open to:
Students enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program in their pre-penultimate year graduating between April 2026 and December 2026 from Universities located in Australia.
Eligible candidates must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of application submission.
Application Process
Submit your application through this portal – each Team Member must individually register on the J.P. Morgan website with a CV/Resume uploaded; as such, there should be 2-4 individual applications for each team. Please include your Team Name and list of Team Member on the CV, and ensure all team member’s graduation date on your application falls between April 2026 and December 2026.
When the case study is released to eligible applicants on 2 October 2024, you will be sent a copy of the Terms & Conditions document for the competition, by completing the registration form and/or participating in the Competition, you unconditionally agree to all of these Terms & Conditions.
Winners of the JPMIBCC will be prioritized for final round interviews in our 2025 Investment Banking – Empowering Leaders Development Program held in one of our Australian offices. (Winner will still need to formally apply for the role and meet the eligibility criteria and minimum requirements of the role to be considered for a position).
